Kent is on the move

The Kent book is out and filling up the stores this week. Great print quality and fun to see it IRL (thats: in real life). There's more Kent on the horizon but it'll have to wait for a short while.

So go buy Kent Agent. He's very bad ass.

My current project is all about these little dudes and dudettes. I'll shed some more light on it in a few weeks. But I can tell you right now it's all about competition and plenty of it.

Kent Agent cover

The first book is under production and is getting closer to finished everyday. Its still a couple of moths from release but most of the spreads are sketched out. 

Heres the cover we are using promote and sell in the book. Might be some very slight changes to it but this is pretty much it.

Oh and the title says "Kent Agent and the mystery of the super dirt" spoookey!

Poachers

It's nothing like a good board game to get your competitive vain pumping! Here's an illustration to an upcoming expansion to the very excellent board game Dominion by Rio Grande Games. If you haven't tried it out yet: go pick it up! The expansion is going to feature a dark ages theme and my illustration is showing some poaching action in a light forest. I hope it's a good card.

Kent in a hurry!

I did some concepts of Kent the other week. One of the illustrations showed Kent running. I just had to see it in motion. And since I'm trying to get more comfortable with 2D animation at the moment I had a go. Here's a pencil test of the run cycle from late last night. I love this stage so much. I have watched so much pencil test clips from the good old days. This is where the raw motion really shines. I think my next animation project will all pencil tests. No fuss, just the good stuff.
